A capturing point of Freemasonry is the Trestle Board, also known as the Tracing Board. These boards change with different degrees and appendant bodies. On this page I will attempt to guide you, the reader, through what I have learned.

First Degree Trestle Board

In looking at this Trestle Board it is a lot to take in. Notice the orientation of the of the board, with the East being on top and the West being on bottom. Notice the Sun in the Northeast corner and the Moon, with it's seven stars surrounding it in the Southeast corner. Centered is the blazing star shining its rays on the entire board. Moving downward we can see the chequered floor with black and white shades. The alter picturing two pillars, a circle, and a point in the middle.

This entire Trestle Board is built to captivate the mind, and I haven't even touched on it yet.
